Cessnock First Aid, Provide Advanced First Aid deals with the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings.

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Target audience:

Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment:

  • HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support
  • HLTAID003 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid

Initial Course duration:

  • Mixed Mode: Completion of on-line pre-course study with 7 hours practical training, starting 8:45am till approx. 4:30pm
