NSW WorkCover refers to First aid in the workplace: Code of practice – July 2014, providing practical guidance for persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) on how to comply with duties under the WHS Act and Regulations to provide adequate first aid facilities in the workplace.
It includes information on first aid kits, procedures, facilities and training for first aiders.

This is where Safe Act can help with the training of first aiders with Provide First Aid HLTAID003 training courses in the Hunter Valley area, this first aid course is run on a regulator basis.

Safe Act Pty Ltd delivers first aid course which is a nationally recognised training in partnership with, and under the auspices of, Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

Information about this unit:

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.

Target audience:

Those who are required to provide an emergency first aid response in a workplace.

There are no pre requisites for this course.

Award issued:

Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:

• HLTAID003 Provide first aid
• HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
